I test the air myself. It's how I know whether a cleaning is actually going to help — before I quote one.
I'm an IAQ-certified indoor air quality specialist, and I've written five books on mould and mycotoxins. Testing is where a diagnosis starts — before any talk of cleaning.
What I test for
- What species of mould or mycotoxin are actually present, if any
- Concentration — indoors compared to outdoors
- Particle counts by size, and where in the system the load is concentrated
- VOC, humidity and CO₂ readings, room by room
I'm a certified indoor air quality specialist, not a medical provider. Testing tells you what's in the air — it doesn't diagnose or treat health conditions.
