Indoor Air Quality

Most of what makes a house feel wrong is invisible

Testing tells you what's actually in the air before I recommend anything. I measure and report — I don't diagnose illness.

What testing finds

Mould & mycotoxins

Moisture inside a duct system or behind a wall lets mould colonise where nobody can see it, and some species release mycotoxins into the air stream.

What testing shows: surface and air sampling identifies which species are present and at what concentration, indoors versus outdoors.

Dust, dander & particulate

Fine particulate recirculates through a return system all day. The EPA notes indoor levels of some pollutants run higher than outdoor levels.

What testing shows: particle counts by size fraction, and where in the system the load is concentrated.

Sick building syndrome

Occupants report headaches, irritation or fatigue that ease when they leave the building, with no single obvious cause.

What testing shows: combined VOC, humidity, CO₂ and particulate readings, room by room, to find measurable contributors.
